How to Pay Credit Card Bill Using Paytm Wallet

Paytm is expected to reach a milestone of about 2 million credit card bill payments by the end of this year. With an advancement of technology, paying a credit card bill is now made much easier with platforms like Patym in the market. Card issuers are incorporating such payment methods for enhancing the user experience and to make the process easier.

Individuals can make their credit card payment through Paytm through two ways, namely net banking and BHIM UPI. For paying through net banking, users must have access to the login credentials of their net banking app of a card issuer. On the other hand, to pay via BHIM UPI, they must have their Virtual Payment Address (VPA).

Payment process

Paytm is a convenient way to pay credit card bills. Individuals are required to follow the steps mentioned below to make payments via Paytm.

  • Step 2

They must visit the credit card section and select their saved credit card.  If they do not have a saved card, they are required to enter credit card details under the bill payment option.

  • Step 3

Individuals must enter the amount they will pay and click on the proceed button. They will be redirected to another page for making their credit card payment through Paytm.

  • Step 4

On the new page, they will see the option to pay their dues by BHIM UPI and net banking. If they choose BHIM UPI, they are required to enter their VPA and pay the amount. They will be redirected to the payment page of their financial institution in case they choose the net banking option.

Cardholders must log in to their net banking account using their credentials to complete their credit card payment through Paytm. Individuals must ensure that their Paytm account contains sufficient funds before they initiate a process to clear their dues.

  • NEFT

National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) is the method to transfer funds from one account to another. Individuals can quickly pay their credit card bills online by transferring the due amount to the account of a card issuer. To complete payment using this method, they must log in to the online portal of a financial institution through which they are making the payment.

They must choose the mode of payment as NEFT and add the required details. They should use their credit card number as the payee account number, and they can easily obtain the IFSC code from a card issuer’s website. They have to enter the associated details accordingly to make payment. Make sure the account has sufficient funds while paying credit card bills.

  • Mobile application of a card issuer

Card issuers have introduced their mobile applications to ensure that managing credit cards are much easier for users. They are required to log in to the app with their credentials and select a credit card option to complete the payment. Individuals can also check their check credit card balance through such applications.
