6 Ways To Bring Positive Energy Into Your Living Space

6 Ways To Bring Positive Energy Into Your Living Space

If you’ve been feeling weighed down by life recently, then it might be because you have negative energy lingering around your home. Luckily, there are things that you can do to instantly bring more positive energy into your home.

Do A Deep Clean

The first thing you have to do to bring more positive energy into your living space is do a deep clean. As much as we dislike doing housework sometimes, there’s a reason why you feel happier when your house is clean. Cleaning your living space regularly accomplishes more than ensuring that you have an empty sink. It also cleanses your house of bad energy, which builds up as we begin to accumulate more and more clutter in our homes. Cleaning your living space works very similar to the way meditation does for you.

Add Some Color

Colors have a great deal of effect on our moods and our psyches. If you want to bring more positive energy into your home, then consider adding lots of color. If you want to create a calming effect, then add blue; if you want to bring more passion into your home, then add red. Consider doing different colors for different rooms, such as green for your living room, as green tends to bring calm and promote growth.

Purge Your Home Of Bad Memories

It is especially important to do this if you are coming off of a difficult life event like a breakup, divorce, or losing a job. Keeping old keepsakes of a relationship gone awry, such as an outfit that you wore out on a date can be the cause of bad energy remaining in your home. Get rid of everything that brings back bad memories like photos, knick-knacks and such. Get it all out.

Make Your Front Door Visible

Ancient Chinese philosophers believed that keeping your front door visible to the outside world invites blessings and positive energy into your home. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. How can positive energy find its way into your home if it can’t find the way in?

Have Indoor Plants

I love having plants around my house. I love the look, the smell, and the sight of something green and growing inside my living space. It’s like bringing a bit of nature home with me. Plants not only make a home prettier, they cleanse the air in and around your home. Plants are also proven to improve the energy of spaces surrounding them by doing things like fighting depression.

Smudge Regularly

If you’re not already aware, smudging is the act of burning dried herbs as a way of cleansing bacteria and bad vibes from the air in your home. Smudging is typically done with herbs like sage or lavender. Smudging is usually done after cleaning your house, recovering from an illness, after a guest leaves, or after something bad happens in your home like an argument. In addition to smudging, try to use things like essential oils in place of artificial scents like those from Scentsy and scented candles. While candles are beneficial, scented candles add toxic chemicals to your living space.

These aren’t the only things that you can do to increase the positive energy in your home. Do what makes your home feel more comfortable.
