Types of Whey Protein and Their Uses

Using protein powder these days is very much common and people have started consuming them in huge quantities according to their exercise/ workout. Not only people who are having their workout in the gym but people who are going for walk/ jogging also prefer the use of protein powder. Obviously the amount of protein they will consume will be less than the people who are going to gym. Protein powders, products have now become a part of a good diet and everyone in the country are including some rich protein content and are consuming it at least once in a day.

  • Whey Protein Concentrate: This is the cheapest version of the whey protein. Also it is cheap in the content of the protein and contains the lowest protein content. A good portion of this protein is devoted to carbohydrates and fat. The range of protein varies a lot and is between 60-90%. But usually it is on the lesser side. This protein can be consumed before workout and even after workout. It is best for a lanky person as he/ she can gain weight by consuming it. But take everything in limit and even if excess capacity is taken then be ready to do workout to that level.
  • Whey protein Hydrolysate: This protein type of whey protein is the strongest protein as it contains 100% of protein in itself. Also it is the most expensive whey protein that is available in the market. On the other hand its taste is very bitter and it dissolves very faster than other two types of whey.
  • Whey Protein Isolate: This protein other than the above two contains 95% of protein per 100 grams. This is the best protein people who don’t want to look like a bodybuilder and want simple lean muscles. It is expensive than the concentrate version of the whey protein.

Usually the people who are hitting the gym hard whey protein isolate is the best. Best whey protein isolate is available in the country. Consuming protein products is not bad until or unless you are having a workout that matches your consumption of protein. Excess of everything is bad and make sure that you understand this concept before suffering from any side effects. Your goal should always be to remain fit and not just pretend to be fit.
